Mahalo to everyone who came to our first community outreach meeting on July 7, 2023, to learn about and share their thoughts on the proposed Hāʻena State Park Comfort Station (Bathroom). The Hui is hosting a second community outreach meeting about the Hāʻena State Park Comfort Station on July 26, 2023. This meeting will be held at Waipā Foundation in Keanolani Hale at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm or until pau.
During this meeting, we will provide a presentation starting at 4:30 pm, share information on the proposed comfort station, answer community questions, and listen to feedback and concerns you may have.
The Hui Makaʻāinana O Makana is a non-profit organization dedicated to the stewardship of Hāʻena State Park, this new "comfort station" would help meet the sanitation needs of the area, alleviate some of the burdens on current facilities, and protect sensitive cultural areas from human impacts.
