Position Title: Makai Watch Coordinator

Location: Various (primary Hāʻena, Kauaʻi, and remote)

Period of Employment: Starting immediately, Part-Time permanent

Wage range: $25-30/hr, commensurate on experience and review

Description:

The Hui Maka‘āinana o Makana has been a leader in stewarding Hāʻena’s Community-Based Subsistence Fishing Area (CBSFA) since 2015, protecting marine and coastal resources through research, monitoring, and education. The Makai Watch Coordinator will support the Hui’s efforts to educate and engage the community in caring for Hāʻena’s coastal and nearshore resources.
