Mālama ʻĀina Technician

Position Title: Mālama ʻĀina Technician

Description: 

The Hui has created a farm operation in the ancient cultural landscape of Hā'ena State Park on the island of Kaua‘i and is recruiting one additional Mālama ʻĀina Technician to professionally maintain and manage this farm.

Technicians perform general and specialized maintenance, lead by example, and assist to educate volunteers, interns, educational groups, and community members in restoration practices of loʻi and the surrounding area. 

Location: Hā‘ena State Park (end of the road)

Rate: Starting at $18/hr 20hrs/wk

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

 

Available Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 7am – 3pm

Makai Watch Coordinator

(Hoa‘āina o Hā‘ena) 

Position Title: Makai Watch Coordinator (Hoa‘āina o Hā‘ena) 

Description:

The Hui is recruiting a Makai Watch Coordinator who will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Hoa‘āina o Hā‘ena Makai Watch program and team of volunteers including raising public awareness, community outreach, shoreline observations, data collection, and incident reporting, and to oversee and coordinate the active stewardship of marine and coastal resources under the Hā‘ena CBSFA.

 

Location: Various - Primarily Hā‘ena, Kauai

Wage Range: $20/hr; commensurate on experience

Hourly Commitment: 20 hrs/wk

Employment Type: Part-Time Position, Permanent
